As you may know, Americans spend a lot of time online, but what you may not realize is the amount of time one spends on average each month. Socially Aware has done a study on the average amount of time that the average American spends on Social Media. This past month, a study by Socially Aware came out that Americans spend about 7 hours on Facebook, 1.5 hours on Tumblr, 1.5 hours on Pinterest, 21 minutes on Twitter, 17 minutes on LinkedIn and 3 minutes on Google+ each month.
Overall from 2006 to 1011 Americans spend on average an extra 4 hours on social media and spend about 1 hour less on the phone. What’s even worst than that is that people socialize with others in person about 1 hour less than they used to.
